The technological properties of particleboards manufactured with nano additive melamine-formaldehyde adhesive

In the present study, effect of nano additives in different ratios added to melamine formaldehyde adhesives on properties particleboards was investigated. this respect, two nanoclays [organo-modified (OMC) and unmodified (NC)] graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) were adhesive at rate 1%, 2% 4%. Along with physical (thickness swelling water absorption), mechanical (modulus rupture, modulus elasticity internal bond strength), accelerated weathering fire resistance tests (Limiting oxygen index-LOI) board carried out. According results, while there no significant change absorption values use additives, a decrease occurred thickness GNP. The increased additives. highest obtained from groups using 1% loss after test reduced nanoclay up LOI boards., agglomerations determined places increase additive ratio SEM images.
